My engineering dream road trip that I created demonstrates the impact that engineering has had on the modern world by taking you around the world to visit some of the most important buildings in the world. We start by visiting stadiums that hold some of the most important sporting events, then we make it to a bridge that held a world record, and then we make it to a building that holds the most valuable art piece. These different places have changed what we as humans believed was possible to build and have pushed the envelope to create many more amazing structures. With my engineering degree in civil engineering (hopefully) I hope to contribute some amazing ideas to improve structures that make them super cool to look at make people want to come inside and see what it is all about. I hope to inspire the younger generation with infrastructure that blows their mind and makes them start to think about how it was possible to build. Something that I have learned about my field of civil engineering is that the engineers not only work on buildings, but they work on pipes and things underground. They must be knowledgeable in soil materials and many other things I had never thought about. Overall, this year and this project have made me really understand all of the different things that you can do with a civil engineering degree. I am excited to see what the future has in store for me and how I will impact the world in a good way.
